“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”: few biblical words are as well known as the first sentence of the first book of Scripture. Is this really understood? Too often captive to questions linked to scientific theories of origins, reflection on creation largely ignores the existential significance of this key notion.
Does the belief of the believer, for whom the world is created by God, have a concrete impact on his life? An in-depth study of the stories of Genesis allows us to build a bridge between creation and daily life. This work therefore aims to explore the biblical teaching on the creative work of God and sheds new light on the different aspects of the human condition: religion, work, finitude, gender difference, couple and family, food, etc.
