In this second volume dedicated to the Epistle to the Hebrews, Samuel Bénétreau, Doctor of Theology and Professor Emeritus of New Testament, continues his study from chapter 7 through chapter 13.
The author explores with precision the passages that present the superiority of Christ, his priesthood, the new covenant, and the work accomplished by Jesus. Throughout the commentary, he also shows how these theological truths lead to a faith lived out with perseverance, confidence, and faithfulness.
The work offers a detailed reading of the biblical text, attentive to the difficulties of interpretation and the nuances of the original text. References to philology, history, and various biblical translations enrich the study while remaining accessible to readers who are not proficient in biblical languages.
More than a simple verse-by-verse explanation, this commentary invites us to understand how the person and work of Christ give full meaning to the Christian faith, especially in moments when the believer is called to stand firm.
A solid work for personal study, sermon preparation, or a deeper theological understanding of the Epistle to the Hebrews.
