Finding our place in biblical history
The great story of the Bible tells the biblical story of redemption as a single, coherent narrative of God's continuing work in his kingdom. Many of us have read the Bible as if it were a mosaic of small fragments. On the other hand, by reading the Bible in such a fragmented way, we ignore the intention of its divine author to shape our lives through his narrative. For the Bible's story to shape our lives, there are two things we must understand: the biblical story is an indisputable unity on which we can depend, and each of us has a role to play in that story.
In this book, Craig G. Bartholomew and Michael W. Goheen demonstrate how biblical history provides the foundation for a Christian worldview. They invite us to appropriate this story, to discover the place we occupy in it and to fully enjoy it.
