Being a Christian and defending our faith is no easier today than it was yesterday. We are dying to have influence and impact in our society, but we face a credibility gap between the Gospel of Christ and our culture. The Word of God, however, shows us that we need apologetics, the art of persuasion that leads to faith.

In this book, the author presents the biblical foundations on which apologetics rests, then he invites us to use several effective methods to touch and persuade the hearts of unbelievers.

William Edgar (born 1944 in Wilmington, North Carolina, United States) is an American theologian and apologist who grew up in Paris, Long Island, and Geneva. He taught at the Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut, then at the Free Faculty of Reformed Theology (now the Jean Calvin Faculty), where he continues to serve as an associate professor. He is currently professor of apologetics at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and is a member of the editorial board of The Reformed Review .
