Who doesn't know the life of Jacob and Rachel? The Bible traces their meeting, the years spent in the service of Rachel's Father, the difficulty of having a child, the childbirth of Joseph then that of Benjamin, to which the latter succumbed.

The poignant and painful story of Jacob and Rachel is full of profound revelations that, until now, leave no one indifferent.

From this story, the apostle Jonathan Mulaji is inspired to relate the joys and difficulties linked to his life and his vocation. Driven by the desire to help his neighbor, he began an atypical missionary journey with his wife and their four children, until the latter abruptly left them. A new beginning will follow for the whole family after a difficult season filled with incomprehension.

Rachel's Painful Childbirth: After the Pain, a New Beginning is a fascinating autobiographical account, a diary of new lessons for the contemporary family, and a work that will arouse the theological interest of anyone who has received the missionary call.
