A deadly division threatens our faith
We too often draw arbitrary lines. We emphasize knowing the Bible while failing to welcome the work of the Holy Spirit. Or, we emphasize the Spirit, seeking signs, wonders, and miracles, and we neglect well-grounded biblical teaching.
This division prevents us from being the effective, power-clothed people He wants us to be.
When we value the Word more than the Spirit, or the Spirit more than the Word, a central element of our faith is missing. Just as imperative as it is in a mathematical equation, we need both the Word and the Spirit to live as God intended and to access the power made available to us to draw a lost world to His Son.
It is time to abolish the barriers, erase our differences, and balance our equations.
Only when the Word is honored and the Holy Spirit is welcomed does the Lord manifest His power, bringing salvation, understanding, miracles, healings, and all that He has in store for us. Only then will you be able to live the truly effective, fruit-filled life that He has empowered you to live.
