Do you have fond memories of the house where you grew up? What are those memories? Naturally, it is the warm occasions, much more than the physical structure of the house, that make you nostalgic. Where are the houses of worship on earth about which God might, if it were possible, express a certain nostalgia?
Man seeks encounters with God in the place he calls "the house of God"; God, for His part, seeks encounters with man in what He calls the "house of man." "Moses' tabernacle," "David's tabernacle," "Solomon's temple"... Do these names not evoke memories? Since the Garden of Eden, God has been searching the earth for intimate places of worship.
What would happen if the ancient patterns and old blueprints were found? If the practices anointed by the Lord were restored and refreshed? If you could "rebuild" that house, would He return to it?
