In this study dedicated to the prophet Joel, Jacques Gloaguen explores a biblical book that connects a national catastrophe, a call to repentance, and the hope of God's intervention. Through the devastating locust invasion, the prophet invites the people to become aware of their spiritual situation and to return sincerely to the Lord.
The author highlights the themes of the Day of the Lord, judgment, repentance, restoration, and the outpouring of God's Spirit. The commentary also helps to understand the significance of Joel's promises, particularly those that find an echo in the New Testament.
An accessible and enriching study, which allows for a better understanding of the message of the prophet Joel and a deeper exploration of essential themes such as returning to God, His mercy, and the hope of restoration.
