The Book of the Prophet Habakkuk – Jacques Gloaguen
In this study dedicated to the prophet Habakkuk, Jacques Gloaguen explores a biblical book that is particularly relevant today, marked by the believer’s questions in the face of injustice, violence, and the apparent silence of God. The prophet dares to express his questions and his lack of understanding, all while continuing his dialogue with the Lord.
The author highlights the major stages of Habakkuk’s message: the complaint before evil, God’s response, the call to live by faith, and the hope expressed in the final prayer. The commentary shows how this short book leads from anxiety to a renewed trust in the sovereignty and faithfulness of God.
An accessible and profound study, which helps to better understand the book of Habakkuk and offers valuable insight to all those who seek to live out their faith in the midst of trials and uncertainties.
