Although history places the Reformation period in the sixteenth century, it began generations earlier. That is why I included John Wycliffe and John Huss first. Each of the six men I chose had a different personality and method from the others, but their goal was the same, and God had set them a particular mission. Each of them dedicated their lives to achieving it, and some died as martyrs. Moreover, each (except Fox) had to confront the hypocrisy of the medieval Catholic Church. At that time, anyone who was not Catholic was a "pagan." To maintain its dictatorship, the Catholic Church ensured that the Bible was translated only into Latin. During these dark times, men such as John Wycliffe, John Huss, Martin Luther, John Knox, and John Calvin arose. This book will help me understand the process of the Reformation and the spirit behind it.
