Reading and rereading the careful examination by Drs. Gill and Cavaness
of the texts of Scripture within their linguistic, historical,
and theological contexts, I was compelled to identify—dare I say—with Apollos,
of whom it is written in Acts 18:26, "Priscilla and Aquila... explained
to him the way of God more accurately." May the reading of the words of these
two 21st-century Priscillas lead many to understand more
accurately God’s high designs for all his servants, both men and women.
This work clarifies God’s original intention to make
the gifts and ministries of the Spirit available to all members of his Church, men and women,
in order to effectively bring the sinful world back to him
