What is a God hunter?
This is someone whose hunger exceeds what he has.
A God Hunter is an individual whose hunger surpasses their means. A God Hunter is someone whose passion for God's presence drives them to pursue the impossible in the hope that the uncatchable might catch them.
It's like a child chasing after their father until, suddenly, the father embraces them with love. The pursuer then becomes the pursued. Paul expresses it this way: "...I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me." (Phil. 3:12)
The burning traces of the Extreme Hunters can be found throughout history, from Moses the stammerer, through David the dancing poet and Paul the radical preacher, to contemporaries such as AWTozer, Leonard Ravenhill and countless others whose common passion is an insatiable hunger to know their Lord.
The Extreme Hunters never apologize for their passion in their obstinate pursuit of Christ, even if sometimes they seem crazy in the eyes of others.
