This work develops a global structure and a detailed commentary on the book of Revelation based on the candlestick and the chiasmus structure with 7 main divisions, each divided into 7 parts, themselves divided into 7. This arrangement highlights the relationship between the different parts of the book, allowing for the combination of the general linear chronological progression of the book with the chiasmus perspective, both of which are characteristic of the Hebrew world.
Each generation is called to study, observe, interpret, and apply Scripture to its own time, in light of the knowledge accumulated over the centuries and current events. We may err in our interpretations, but one thing is certain: in God's "Kairos," in His "Kronos," biblical prophecies are inexorably fulfilled. At the moment known or planned by God, biblical prophecy and history always converge.
In any case, as the Apostle Paul emphasizes, the Lord calls us to be vigilant and prepared for situations that could catch us off guard. As he writes, for example, to the Thessalonians: « But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness, so that this day should surprise you like a thief » (1 Thess. 5:4)
