What God wants for his people
Throughout all his daily activities, the pastor must not lose sight of his ultimate goal: the sanctification of the people of God. This is the heart of God's plan for Christians.
In this book, John MacArthur reminds pastors not to forget why they spend countless hours preparing sermons, visiting sick people, counseling, and performing weddings, especially when the line of arrival seems distant and they are tempted to abandon. In particular, he encourages pastors to persevere by relying on God and to place the sanctification of God's people at the center of their ministry.
