Truth be told, if forgiving were popular and an easy choice, the author would not need to write this book after so many others already committed on the subject. Forgiving is a painful act of love, but essential in Christianity; because in human nature hatred for a wrong suffered is always nourished by a pain which will only be satisfied when one takes revenge. This pain in the heart often resists the divine injunction to release our offender through an act of forgiveness. The author demonstrates that there is a penalty in forgiving the offenses suffered as well as in recognizing one's faults. In this work, he pursues a double goal, how to transform this pain into a source of blessings; and enlighten Christians on the subtleties of forgiveness. At the same time, it explains true and false forgiveness.
