Jim Cymbala is an exceptional human being. He is inhabited by a calm and confident faith. He is a man who sees far into situations where most see nothing, even up close. He took the helm of a church in one of the toughest parts of New York, with a handful of congregants from backgrounds as difficult as they were varied. Today, the Brooklyn Tabernacle has not only become one of the most important churches in New York, but it has contributed to the regeneration and revival of an entire neighborhood in this great metropolis. The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, which leads the church's services, is among the best in the world. Pastor Jim, as the church members affectionately call him, has become for them—and for a growing number of New Yorkers—the image of self-assurance, sobriety, and faith.
If you sometimes wonder if there is more to grasp and understand in this life than what you experience in your daily routine, or if you are actively seeking for your life to count for someone, you are already on the right track. God, Jim Cymbala believes, has much more in store for you than you can imagine at this moment. Rather than looking for a borrowed recipe leading to dazzling success, this book offers you the inspiring vision of a man overflowing with confidence in his God. A God who promises a measure of abundance in your life for which you were created, but have yet to grasp.
