How can we receive the Gospel of peace for today?
In this work, the author explores the tension between accounts of violence in the Bible and the evangelical call to peace. Drawing on half a century of research, he offers a multidisciplinary reading that combines exegesis, history, theology, and ethics. He calls for a radical reassessment of the place of war in Christian thought, promoting the idea of a "just peace" in place of the traditional "just war." This book proposes concrete paths for a Church committed to active non-violence, faithful to the message of Christ in a troubled world.
