Is it the responsibility of Christians to be concerned about climate justice and the protection of creation? Is this part of the Gospel and the mission, or is it simply a trendy activity?
This book shows that the protection of creation is part of the Gospel, because Christians are disciples of Jesus, who is Creator and Savior. Human beings were created in the image of God and are called to bear witness to the Gospel in word and deed. Preserving creation is loving one’s neighbor, as the consequences of climate change often affect the most vulnerable. As John Stott said, “God’s creation is part of the Gospel, as much as his work of redemption.”
