This is a book on a delicate subject, that of the relationship between the Gospel and culture. Given the magnitude of this question, this book can only offer a partial view, even if it covers five continents. The authors, evangelical theologians from Europe and Asia, wrote their texts under the direction of a missiologist with experience in countries of the South, the Far East and the West. These texts are the fruit of a theological reflection that aims to be evangelical and of concrete experiences in the field.
The reader will discover throughout the pages the different ingredients which inevitably constitute a serious treatment of the question: the passion for confrontation, even clash, between biblical teaching and the beliefs and values of cultures and religions, a questioning of the identity of each individual and of the group and the highlighting of aspects of the biblical text never discovered or even suspected.
