Living God's ethics
" Love your neighbor as yourself ! » But what meaning should be given to the verb “to love”? Should we release the terrorist, tolerate the spouse's infidelity, erase the debts of the insolvent debtor? Can we lie to save our lives? How can we use the goods that God entrusts to us? What limits should be imposed on medical research?
Ethical questions are numerous and complex, and our pluralist society lacks guidance.
Living God's ethics pleads for a return to the person of God. Everything the Creator said and did is right. The Bible contains varied and complementary moral teachings, sometimes nuanced, sometimes absolute, never contradictory. Between the Old and New Testaments there is unity and diversity. The relationship between justice, love and forgiveness finds its perfect balance there. Through his Spirit, God also gives men the strength to live his ethics.
