The belief that science and faith in God are irreconcilable is widespread. Yet didn't Albert Einstein say that “Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind. » ? This work offers a reflection accompanied by the thoughts of many scientists, showing that these two fields are much more linked to each other than we believe, and even complementary.

This first volume launches the Parcours Alpha Hot Topics collection. With the aim of offering elements of response to the most common existential and spiritual questions of our time, Alpha France wished to develop a collection bringing to light several thorny questions, relating in particular to the themes of the Trinity, suffering, science, sexuality, religions... These easy-to-access tools, in an illustrated, pleasant and modern format, aim to meet the many expectations in this area. The topics are varied, the answers relevant. A collection rich in meaning.

The Alpha Courses were created at the initiative of a London Anglican parish around thirty years ago. This ten-evening formula (topography + dinner + sharing) arrived in France in 2001. The program of courses has taken off over the last ten years. In 2013, more than 700 French Catholic or Protestant parishes are offering these sessions to announce the Good News, bringing together around 15,000 participants.
