Mary according to the Bible and according to the Catholic Church

Mary, according to the Bible, is a humble believer, devoted and submissive to her Lord. The Catholic Tradition, on the other hand, has developed several doctrines about him over the centuries, encouraging devotion to his person.

What is the right attitude to adopt towards Mary? How should we consider the one who received the unique vocation of bringing the Lord Jesus Christ into the world? Is it appropriate to offer worship to her who, thanks to a miraculous intervention, carried within her bosom the One who was to bring the ultimate revelation of God and bring about the redemption of humanity?

To answer these questions, the author turns to the source of all reliable knowledge about Mary: the writings of the New Testament. It thus leads us to examine the different Catholic doctrines about Mary by evaluating them in the light of the Bible. 40 pages
