The Faculty of Evangelical Theology (of Vaux-sur-Seine) offers preachers, teachers and all attentive readers of the Scriptures a set of works devoted to the precise and detailed explanation of all the books of the two testaments of the Bible. After an introduction, including the examination of historical and literary problems, the commentary emphasizes the elucidation of the text and the difficulties, on exegesis itself, the foundation of any possible application. It uses the resources of philology, history, archaeology, but the reader will be able to follow it without knowing the original languages, thanks to the transcription of Hebrew and Greek words; the commentary also refers to the main French versions of the Bible.
