The Faculty of Evangelical Theology (in Vaux-sur-Seine) offers preachers, teachers, and all attentive readers of the Scriptures a collection of works devoted to the precise and detailed explanation of all the books of both Testaments of the Bible.
After an introduction covering an examination of historical and literary issues, the commentary focuses on elucidating the text and its difficulties, emphasizing exegesis itself as the foundation for any possible application. It utilizes the resources of philology, history, and archaeology, but the reader can follow it without knowledge of the original languages thanks to the transliteration of Hebrew and Greek words; the commentary also refers to the main French versions of the Bible.
