Oswald Smith (1889-1986) is one of the great Christian figures of the first half of the 20th century. Based in Toronto, Canada, his spiritual revival ministry quickly expanded around the world. His incessant travels have taken him to preach in more than 70 different countries. The number of his sermons is estimated at 12,000. He is also the author of nearly 1200 songs and poems.
He has written more than 60 works translated into 128 languages, the total circulation of which has exceeded one million copies. The Awakening We Need, written at the age of 26, is in a way the author's program. It is its implementation that has produced this fruitful ministry.
