Is the Gospel message really that “good news” that is easy to share and understand? Throughout its 2000-year journey, what is now commonly called the "message of the Gospel" has been gradually colored by various socio-historical elements which have become so many filters and prisms. which affect communication, perception and understanding of the message, so much so that at the end of this long epic, the expression "the text in its context" has become a concept which deserves to be defined again. Taking as a model a family of churches in particular (the Assemblies of God of France) and a given period (the beginnings of the movement to its growth in the 20th century), the author studies the specificities of the communication of this minority religious group in society, in its efforts to communicate the Gospel.
