Errata: To introduce the third part
Ecclesiology, or the doctrine of the Church, is an essential area of theology, which extends that of salvation and borders that of the Holy Spirit, while anticipating eschatology. But ecclesiology is also the site of several controversies, which can be found in the differences between Christian traditions, in ecumenical debates and even within the evangelical world.
The person who studies ecclesiology has before him not only his open Bible, but also the reality of the "Churches" of yesterday and today, as well as his own ecclesial ties. To explore the subject, a reliable guide is therefore indispensable. It begins by highlighting the different conceptions of the sacrament, then explains the biblical roots of baptism and the Lord's Supper as well as the meaning of the symbols present and the practices. In the second part of the course, it addresses the historical and biblical aspects of the ministry of the Church, before arriving at the recognized ministries and some current debates.
