It encourages people to act in new, even subversive, ways in the presence of the Risen One. It is Christ, not Caesar, who is “Lord and Savior,” provider of life and peace. Nicolas Farelly puts these titles in the context of what the seven Churches, the first recipients of these revelations, were experiencing.
