Prefiguration of Christ
What could be more dramatic than the destiny of Joseph, his father's favorite son, sold as a slave in Egypt by his brothers, thrown into prison because he did not want to give in to the advances of his master's wife then raised as governor of Egypt, who became the savior of the Egyptians… and of his brothers.
This destiny was a foreshadowing of that of Jesus Christ who came to earth sent by his Father, poorly received by men, condemned to die on a cross. By his death, he became our Savior. Resurrected, he was elevated to the supreme rank in the universe.
