Collection: Heroes of Faith
“God gave me a mission at my doorstep. This is where I will live and die. » George Müller could not take his eyes off the little beggar. She was no more than five years old and carried her little brother on her back. His mother had died due to the cholera epidemic that was sweeping England. His father had never returned from the mines. Standing in the muddy street, this little girl gave a face to the countless orphans of Bristol.
With barely enough food or money for his own family, George Müller opened his heart and home relying only on God's provision. The “Breakfast Club” that he started at his home for around thirty orphans subsequently became five large homes, which welcomed more than ten thousand children.
George Müller's trust in God knew no bounds. His faith and generosity are still a source of inspiration to Christians of all generations today.
