The Bible, seed of life in the plowed heart
What is the Bible for? This is the big question today. To know what case, what use to make of the Bible, it is appropriate to evaluate the nature of authority of the Bible. Is this authority simply human , one among others? Or is she divine , because its text is a revelation from God?
Can we say with the theologians of old that God is the Author of the Bible? Or should we admit that the Bible is only a human production? The thesis of this book is as follows: consider that the Bible is a simply divine text Or simply human constitutes an error of judgment. The Bible is at a time of divine nature and of human nature. Its human nature requires us to consider its authors, their language, their environment, the history of their time and their culture. All these elements should not make us forget that, in Scripture, God reveals himself and that they cannot be well understood if we forget that God expresses himself through them. In the Bible, there is no separation between the divine and the human, but continuity and complementarity.
