A study in Fouta-Djallon in the Republic of Guinea
In this work, Fara Daniel Tolno questions the issues of evangelization of the Muslim Fulani of Fouta-Djallon in the Republic of Guinea. The approach to this reflection follows Paul Hiebert's critical contextualization model and analyzes Fulani culture, worldview, and identity in order to understand how to communicate the Gospel in ways relevant to the Fulani context.
This missiological research work reviews the history of the evangelization of the Fulani and reevaluates the approaches used. It highlights concrete avenues for evangelization and church planting among the Fulani today and integrates the Fulani vision of the world (the pulaaku ) in reflection on the communication of the Gospel.
