Segond 21 is a new translation of the Bible, the result of 12 years of work on the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts. His goal? Propose a French formulation faithful to the original, in current language, hence the formula “The original, with today's words”. In “Segond 21 with reference notes”, nearly 23,000 notes indicate the literal translation of the words or expressions used, specify the discrepancies between the manuscripts and ancient versions, point out internal references to the biblical text or provide historical information, geographical and cultural. There is also a color introduction with chronologies and maps, an index of quotations and allusions and a biblical and theological dictionary. Furthermore, the margins have been widened and spaces left free to allow personal annotations.
With a free Special BibleWorkshop CD-Rom containing the biblical texts NEG 1979 and Segond 21, the Segond 21 reference notes and the encyclopedia of biblical difficulties (NT).
