The Christian Literature Centre (CLC) Canada is a non-profit organization, a ministry established in Canada for over 70 years. Our mission is to facilitate access to the Christian faith and to contribute to spiritual maturity in Jesus Christ through literature.
Position: Accounting technician
The CLC is looking for an Accounting Technician to join its accounting department. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the efficient management of our financial operations, while supporting our mission of spreading Christian literature in Quebec. If you are organized, rigorous and passionate about numbers, this position is for you!
Responsibilities
• Work with management, controller and branch managers;
• Perform all data entries relating to accounts payable, accounts
customer and bank reconciliation;
• Manage the complete accounting cycle of the organization;
• Produce the requested financial reports;
• Prepare and submit the GST/QST remittance;
• Organize and classify all accounting documents;
• Manage the accounting department’s email box.
• Perform any other related tasks.
The requirements
• Adhere to the mission and values of the CLC.
• Hold at least an AEC or a DEC in accounting and management techniques.
• Have between 1 and 3 years of experience.
• Master Excel and have excellent knowledge of the Office suite and Google collaborative tools.
• Know accounting applications and software such as SAGE, QuickBooks.
• Be familiar with integrated management software packages such as NetSuite or SAP (an asset).
• Be able to express yourself correctly in French and English, both orally and in writing.
• Know how to manage priorities well while respecting deadlines.
• Demonstrate thoroughness, analytical thinking and great attention to detail.
