Why do you call me Lord without doing what I say?

An original reading of the story of the Samaritan woman in the light of the parable of the good Samaritan for fundamental teaching

An in-depth study of John 4:1-42, Luke 10:25-37 and Luke 6:12-49

Do you still understand what you read in the Bible?

Jonathan Bersot offers an original reading of the story of the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well, a story that can be read in the fourth gospel (John 4.1-42). By using the parable of the good Samaritan as a key to interpretation (Luke 10.25-37) in an original way, the text takes on another flavor with a new meaning. With the pedagogy of a Bible teacher, the author leads his reader to read the biblical text as he has never read it before. This study is accessible to all audiences and allows for a better understanding of how to read the Bible to interpret it. A practical and modern teaching is also developed from a question that Jesus asked his disciples and which summarizes the lesson of this text: "Why do you call me Lord and do not do what I say?" (Luke 6.12-49).
