What characterizes good preaching?
In this simple, accessible little book, Pastor David Helm outlines what you need to know and do to become a faithful teacher of God's Word.
In addition to offering detailed, practical advice for experienced preachers and preachers in training, this book gives every Christian the tools to learn to recognize the signs of good preaching.
“David Helm has written the most effective, concise, and helpful book I have read on textual preaching. »
Matt Chandler, pastor and president of the Acts 29 Church Planting Network
“If I were teaching a course on preaching and could only recommend one book to students, it would probably be this one. It is a rare gem that presents the subject to the novice as well as it instructs the experienced person. David's humility convinces, reproves, instructs, and encourages me as a preacher. I pray she does the same for you. »
Mark Dever, pastor and president of 9Marks
“Mr. Helm has given us a finely crafted and quite conclusive summary of what must be understood and practiced in faithfully preaching the Word. It is a major work. »
