Maggie has a gospel voice that we all enjoy hearing. Liberated is an absolutely superb album. First of all, because it has the originality of being entirely in French. Then, because it benefited from high quality musical arrangements!
Most of the titles are translations of English songs by great artists, as well as some well-known French classics brought up to date. From the first song 'My life and my joy', we are struck by the clarity of Maggie's voice.
The song 'Libéré' is magnificent and we find little more jazzy tones on 'Jésus, tu sont tout pour moi'. Maggie Blanchard surprises with the sensitivity of her voice and we imagine her with a very bright future ahead of her.
