Inheritance is a collection of hymns and original songs in English
Audrey is the daughter of a Syrian refugee, a lauded author, speaker, producer and songwriter and musician. She releases music she calls "soundtracks for prayer" on the label Fortunate Fall Records , which she co-owns with her husband. In 2013, thanks to a dedicated fan base, she raised over $40,000 in 50 hours on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter to record an independent album called Fortunate Fall. With songs like "I Shall Not Want" the album received numerous accolades including being mentioned in the New York Times Journal. In 2014, Audrey released an EP, Death, Be Not Proud, which reflected on her recent encounters with loss and suffering, including her husband's journey through cancer and chemotherapy. The album released just weeks after the birth of her first son. In the allotted time, Audrey spoke about art, faith, femininity, justice and, most notably, pornography addiction at Catholic and evangelical events such as Q Ideas, Focus Conferences and more Again. She has participated in numerous worship events, as well as the IHOP One Thing Conference with Francis Chan. In 2016, Audrey released a collection of hymns and original songs called Inheritance . She approached this collection of songs with a delicate appreciation balanced with artistic integrity. In an effort to emphasize the beauty of the hymns, without trampling on them, she crafted a very unique soundscape through a cinematic approach. Working with co-producer Daniel James (Canon Blue, Joy Williams, Among Savages), the rich, lush textures and broad, expansive rhythms allow Audrey's vocals to glide effortlessly over a diverse landscape of prayerful contemplation. In the album's highlights, Audrey's signature piano and pure vocal tone create a familiar and calming place for the listener.
